Salesforce no longer sells its CPQ to new customers. If you already have it, you can keep it, renew it and get support. New features now go to Revenue Cloud Advanced. So you need to decide where your quoting goes next. If you sell software, subscriptions or usage, look at Revenue Cloud Advanced, Conga, DealHub or Nue. If you sell IT services, the choice is different. Your quote is a scope of work. It lists tasks, hours by role and assumptions, and it ends in a statement of work. That is the job a services CPQ like ScopeStack does, and it runs alongside Salesforce CRM.
TL;DR
- Salesforce CPQ is end of sale, not end of life. No end-of-life date has been announced.
- Revenue Cloud Advanced is the named successor. It runs on a different data model, so moving to it is a migration. Salesforce puts a typical one at 3 to 6 months.
- Conga, DealHub and Nue are stronger for product, subscription and usage pricing. Conga and Nue also bill, and Conga and DealHub include eSignature.
- ScopeStack wins when the thing you quote is services work that ends in a statement of work and a project in ConnectWise PSA or Autotask.
- ScopeStack does not pull live distributor pricing. If you quote a lot of hardware, keep a product quoting tool for that.
What happened to Salesforce CPQ?
Salesforce's own page puts it this way: "Salesforce CPQ is end of sale, not end of life." End of sale means it is "no longer selling new Salesforce CPQ licenses to new customers."
If you already run it, nobody is cutting you off. Existing customers "can continue using Salesforce CPQ, buy additional users, renew licenses, and receive support." The vendor describes the product as "supported, but no longer receiving new feature development," and names "Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) built API First and Composable" as the successor. "Salesforce has not announced an end-of-life date for CPQ."
Salesforce also says "There is no forced migration from Salesforce CPQ to Revenue Cloud." So you have time. The cost of waiting is that every release adds features to Revenue Cloud Advanced and none to the tool you run.
Salesforce CPQ alternatives at a glance
| Option | How the vendor describes it | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Stay where you are | "supported, but no longer receiving new feature development" | Teams that need time before they move |
| Revenue Cloud Advanced (also called Agentforce Revenue Management) | The successor, "built API First and Composable" | Teams that want one vendor for CRM and quoting |
| Conga CPQ | "New capabilities arrive as in-place upgrades and existing configuration carries forward" | Teams that want contracts, eSignature and billing from one vendor |
| DealHub | A "no-code" environment that "typically goes live in 8 to 12 weeks" | SaaS and subscription revenue teams |
| Nue | "Agentic Quote-to-Cash", where reps "Work inside Salesforce to build complex quotes" | Usage, credit and hybrid pricing with billing |
| ScopeStack | "a Services CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) platform that helps IT service providers scope, price, and generate accurate, consistent statements of work" | Teams that quote services work and hand it to delivery |
Why IT services firms need a different kind of CPQ
Most CPQ tools on these shortlists are built to price products. Bundles, price books, subscriptions, usage tiers, renewals. That suits a software company. It does not match how an MSP, VAR or IT consultancy builds a quote.
Your presales engineer is working out what a migration or a network refresh will take. Which tasks? How many hours, by role? What does the customer have to provide, and what is out of scope? The answer becomes a statement of work, and then a project your delivery team has to run at the margin you sold.
Product CPQ can hold a line item called "professional services," but the scope behind it lives somewhere else. That is how services teams end up with a CPQ for products and a spreadsheet and a Word template for everything else.
If your shortlist is MSP and VAR tools such as ConnectWise CPQ or QuoteWerks, start with our guide to CPQ software for MSPs. This page covers the move off Salesforce CPQ.
Revenue Cloud Advanced fits if you want to stay on one platform
Revenue Cloud Advanced is the path the vendor wants you on, and your in-house architects may want it too. It keeps quoting on the same platform as your CRM, under one vendor. If your quotes are mostly products and subscriptions, that is an advantage.
Plan for a migration. Salesforce says Revenue Cloud Advanced "is not simply CPQ with a new name" and runs on the standard Salesforce data model, where CPQ is a managed package. It puts "A typical migration" at "3–6 months from discovery through go-live," longer with heavy custom logic. Get the price and the migration plan in writing before you compare options.
Conga CPQ fits if you want an upgrade without re-platforming
Conga's pitch to current CPQ customers is continuity. On its comparison page, Conga says "New capabilities arrive as in-place upgrades and existing configuration carries forward." It also offers "A CRM-agnostic engine, a Salesforce-native engine," and says "Contracts, eSignature, and billing all come from the same provider."
Conga is the stronger pick for teams that want contracts, quoting and billing from one vendor. We didn't find services scoping or SOW generation described on its CPQ comparison page.
DealHub fits SaaS and subscription revenue teams
DealHub positions itself as a "no-code" environment and says it "typically goes live in 8 to 12 weeks." It contrasts that with "A Salesforce implementation is a marathon that requires Apex developers and months of configuration." It lists Salesforce CRM among its top integrations.
DealHub is built for guided selling and subscription deals, and it bundles its own eSignature. We compared it with ScopeStack for services work in ScopeStack vs DealHub.
Nue fits usage and hybrid pricing with billing
Nue calls itself "Agentic Quote-to-Cash." It covers "Automated billing and collections across subscriptions, usage, and hybrid models," and reps "Work inside Salesforce to build complex quotes."
If your pricing is usage, commits or credits and you want billing in the same system, Nue is the better fit. We didn't find services scoping or statements of work described on its site.
ScopeStack fits IT services quoting alongside your CRM
We built ScopeStack for MSPs, VARs and IT solution providers. Your team defines services, deliverables, dependencies and assumptions once, in a reusable service catalog. Rate cards price hours by role. Pricing rules add volume discounts and margin protection. Quotes route for approval on a revenue, gross profit or cost threshold you set, and the SOW is generated from the approved scope.
You keep your CRM. Our Salesforce integration pulls "Salesforce opportunities directly into ScopeStack with all account details, contacts, and custom fields intact." When the quote is approved, our native integrations create the project for delivery. ConnectWise PSA gets tasks, phases and budgets. Autotask gets the tasks.
AI agents such as Claude can create projects and build scopes from your catalog through our MCP server, with the same permissions as the user who connected them.

Get a demoWhere ScopeStack is not the right replacement
- Hardware and distributor pricing. ScopeStack can quote third-party products and add license SKUs to services. It does not pull live distributor prices.
- Subscription billing. ScopeStack scopes and prices the work and hands it to your PSA. If you want quoting and subscription invoicing in one vendor, look at Nue, Conga, or Revenue Cloud Advanced with Revenue Cloud Billing.
- E-signature. Signing runs through your own DocuSign account. If you want eSignature bundled with quoting, Conga and DealHub both offer it.
Pricing
We use credit-based pricing with unlimited users and no per-seat fees. Credits are consumed only when a project is created, so adding reps doesn't add cost. Some integrations are priced separately. Current rates are on the pricing page.
For Revenue Cloud Advanced, Conga, DealHub and Nue, ask each vendor for a quote. The comparison pages we used for this guide don't list prices.
Which Salesforce CPQ alternative should you choose?
Stay where you are for now if it works and you need time to plan the move. Salesforce has set no end-of-life date.
Choose Revenue Cloud Advanced if your quotes are products and subscriptions and one vendor matters more than migration effort.
Choose Conga if you want an in-place upgrade path and contracts, eSignature and billing from one vendor.
Choose DealHub or Nue if you are a SaaS or usage-priced business and want guided selling or billing tied to the quote.
Choose ScopeStack if you are an MSP, VAR or IT consultancy and your quote is a services scope that has to become a SOW and a PSA project.

FAQ
Is Salesforce CPQ being discontinued?
No. It is end of sale, not end of life. New customers can't buy it, but existing customers can keep using it, add users, renew and get support. No end-of-life date has been announced.
What is replacing Salesforce CPQ?
Salesforce names Revenue Cloud Advanced as the successor. It runs on a different data model, so moving is a migration. Salesforce puts a typical one at 3 to 6 months and says there is no forced migration.
What is the best Salesforce CPQ alternative for IT services companies?
If you are an MSP, VAR or IT consultancy and you quote services work, a services CPQ such as ScopeStack fits better than a product CPQ. It scopes tasks and hours by role, generates the SOW and hands the project to ConnectWise PSA or Autotask.
Can I keep Salesforce CRM and use a different CPQ?
Yes. ScopeStack, DealHub, Conga and Nue all work with Salesforce CRM. ScopeStack pulls opportunities in with account details, contacts and custom fields.
Which CPQ works best with Salesforce for services quoting?
For product and subscription quoting, Revenue Cloud Advanced or Conga keeps you closest to the platform. For IT services quoting, ScopeStack connects to your CRM for the opportunity and to your PSA for delivery.
How is ScopeStack priced?
ScopeStack uses credit-based pricing with unlimited users and no per-seat fees. Credits are consumed only when a project is created. Current rates are on scopestack.io/pricing.
How we built this comparison
ScopeStack publishes this page. CPQ status details come from salesforce.com/sales/cpq/end-of-life. Conga, DealHub and Nue details come from conga.com/alternatives/conga-cpq-vs-salesforce-rca, dealhub.io/alternatives/salesforce-cpq and nue.io, as of October 2026. Where we didn't find something on a vendor's site, we say so. We first published this guide in August 2024 and rewrote it in October 2026 after the product went end of sale.
